The Gentle Orbit is my second novel, following my debut Hannah. It's literary fiction, and the most personal thing I've written. I drew on real memories to write it.

​The story follows Michael and Anna. It begins with them meeting on a beach in Ibiza, a quiet, instant connection, the kind of afternoon that feels like it was always meant to happen.

But Anna drifts into someone else's orbit before anything can fully form, and a lot of the book lives in that space between almost and everything.

Beneath the romance sits something darker. Anna is in a relationship that looks like love from the outside but feels like a prison from within, the kind of control that leaves no visible marks.

Michael can't rescue her. He can only be there. And sometimes that's everything.
